- The meeting will begin at 12 p.m. in the Peregrine Global Services Office, located at 640 North Highway 14/16.
- Each is composed of citizens representing various stakeholder groups interested in sage grouse conservation and associated land management issues.

Residents receive 10 times the services than they pay for

- For every dollar in taxes paid by an average family of four in county, the same family receives $10.31 in services from the state, city, county and school district.
- A new online calculator released by the Wyoming Taxpayers Association as a part of its “Cowboy Family” report will calculate the individual benefits the Wyoming tax structure provides to each state resident, based on residents’ specific data.
- People feel residential property taxes going up, and they wonder where that (money) is going. This is the perfect time for us to roll out the Cowboy Family report,” Ashley Harpstreith, executive director of the Wyoming Taxpayers Association, said in an interview with The Sheridan Press.

Republicans review legislative session, look ahead to election

- Sheridan County Republicans reviewed the Wyoming Legislature’s 2024 session and looked ahead to the 2024 elections during a public forum hosted by the local party Thursday.
- “We did not do anything on property tax reform,” Jennings said.
- “We just did a dirty Band-Aid… with the four or five (bills signed). We locked in historically high levels.”

- SHS SkillsUSA Team brought home 22 medals from the SkillsUSA Wyoming State Leadership and Skills Conference in Casper.
- The team placed second overall in the 4A class behind Cheyenne East High School.
- Among the students who took first were junior Corbin Dow with his welding sculpture piece and senior Landis Zebroski in technical drafting.
